Five killed, 15 injured in collision between bus and truck in Aligarh
Aligarh. Five people were killed and 15 others were seriously injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in Tappal area of Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh.
Police sources said on Thursday that the accident happened late last night at point number 56 of Yamuna Expressway when a double-decker bus going from Delhi to Azamgarh hit a truck from behind.
In this accident, five people traveling in the bus died while 15 others were injured. Three people, including an innocent child, have been identified among the dead. The deceased include Parul (25), her five-month-old son Aaroh and Hasmukh Saroj of Pratapgarh.
The injured, including an 11-month-old baby, a little girl, a five-year-old boy, three women and nine men, have been admitted to a hospital in Jaber. The bus was said to be from Krishna Travels of Faizabad while the truck was loaded with Biel’s cane scrub.
Due to the accident, the traffic was disrupted for some time, however, the police took immediate action and restored the traffic by moving the bus and the accident truck to the side.
