London: Today is full of difficulties for those traveling by air in Britain. NATS Swanvick Air Traffic Control Center banned flights from above London due to technical fault, while many airports in Britain including Birmingham and Edinburgh have also been affected by flights. According to the BBC report, the National Air Traffic Services in Britain has said that the system has now been restored, but there are still reports of delay in flights from across the country.
All flights going out of Britain affected
The ATC earlier said in a statement that the controller was limiting the number of aircraft flying over London to ensure safety. The entire aviation service was affected due to the problem in NATS Swanvik ATC. This has affected all flights going out of Britain. According to the BBC, Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham are included in airports where flights are delayed.
Flights are getting delayed
The NATS initially said that the engineers are working hard to solve the technical problem, but later said that the problem has been fixed. However, the ATC said the flights are currently delayed. NATS ATC said in the latest update, “We are working closely with the airline and airport to reduce the disruption.”
Earlier, Heathro Airport had said that all flights had been stopped, but later flights were resumed. The Gatvik Airport also said that although flights have begun to operate, there may be a delay. Meanwhile, the Newcastle Airport has suspended all flights and said that information will be given about this when the time comes.
