Floods in Chitrakoot of UP, 3-5 feet of water on roads
Heavy rains continue in Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh. The Mandakani river is in spate here. Due to heavy rains, the roads have been flooded by 3 to 5 feet. In the drone footage, only water is seen in the main areas of the city.
Here the water is flowing from the top of the bridge over Ramghat. The 30 feet high -foot over bridge has been submerged. Homes, schools, temples, hotels, ghats, shops, bridges are all submerged in water. In Kanpur, heavy rains collapsed the railway trass.
Landslide took place at the scissors turn near Pandoh Dam in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Chandigarh-Manali National Highway closed on both sides. Hundreds of vehicles are stranded here. There is several kilometers long jam. 250 roads are closed across the state.

The Meteorological Department has today issued a yellow alert of heavy rains in 19 states of the country including UP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat. At the same time, there is no alert for rain in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Chandigarh.
