Varanasi: For easy darshan in Baba Vishwanath temple, now the ticket will cost Rs 250 instead of Rs 300.

Kashi. Two major changes have been made in the arrangements of Baba Vishwanath Dham. Now devotees will have to buy tickets for Rs 250 instead of Rs 300 for easy darshan. Devotees will now be able to get 200 grams of laddu for only Rs 120. Vishwabhushan Mishra, CEO of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, said that there has been no change in the price of whatever Prasad is sold in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust premises. Earlier the sweets sold in the city were sold here as Prasad. Regarding the purity, cleanliness and sanctity of the Prasad, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple decided that the Prasad will be prepared itself.

The temple administration itself is getting the Prasad manufactured in the food processing unit of Banaras Dairy, a cooperative sector institute. Prasad is being made by mixing the powder of Belpatra offered to Baba. According to the new rate list, devotees will now be able to get 200 grams of laddu for only Rs 120.

Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that there is no special arrangement for VIP darshan in the temple. In Shri Vishweshwar Dham, all the devotees are treated equally and everyone is considered as VIP. We have equal facilities for everyone. However, some devotees want to spend more time in the temple, so they wait in line and then stay in the premises for a longer period. Sometimes devotees have specific time constraints like catching a plane or train. Therefore their time is limited. In such a situation, a separate line was arranged for his darshan. Their ticket price has been fixed at Rs 250.
