For the first time in human history, Earth's water cycle balance has been disturbed! Scientists issue alert, is disaster coming?

Science News Desk – Humanity’s pursuit of industrial and technological advances has endangered the planet. For the first time in human history, Earth’s water cycle has become unbalanced. This global cycle is the system that moves water around the planet. In a new report, experts warn that this imbalance will wreak havoc across the world. Economies will be destroyed, food production will collapse and human life will be greatly affected. This report has been released by the ‘Global Commission on the Economics of Water’. It is a group of experts from all over the world.

Earth’s Water Cycle: Water System on Earth
The Earth’s water cycle refers to the complex system by which water moves around the Earth. Water evaporates from the ground – including lakes, rivers and plants – and rises into the atmosphere, creating large rivers of water vapor in the air. These are able to travel long distances before cooling, condensing, and eventually falling back to the ground as rain or snow.

Report fears global catastrophe
Decades of destructive land use and water mismanagement, combined with the climate crisis, have put ‘unprecedented pressures’ on the global water cycle, the latest report says. The effect of this pressure has started becoming visible on the world. About three billion people are suffering from water crisis. Crops are being destroyed and cities are shrinking. If immediate steps are not taken the consequences will be dire. According to the report, there is a danger of global food production decreasing by more than 50% due to water crisis. There is a risk of an average 8% decline in the gross domestic product (GDP) of countries by 2050. This loss is estimated to be up to 15% in low-income countries.
