‘For the next 4-5 years ..’, Irfan Pathan told this star bowler of CSK Arshdeep Singh’s close option
Former Team India all -rounder Irfan Pathan has recently tied the bridges of praise of Arshdeep Singh during an interview. He said that currently Arshdeep is the country’s number-1 white ball bowler. Along with this, Pathan also took the name of the bowler, whom he considers to be the closest option of Arshdeep. After this statement by Pathan, there has been a big discussion among the cricket fans.
Former India star all-rounder Irfan Pathan has described Arshdeep Singh as India’s number-1 white ball bowler at present. Arshdeep has proved himself as a trusted pacer in T20 cricket since his debut in 2022. Arshdeep has so far taken 99 wickets in 63 T20 Internationals and may soon become the first Indian bowler to complete 100 wickets.
Irfan Pathan recently said during a conversation with Revspports that if someone can be seen as a left-arms pacer after Arshdeep, then the player is Khalil Ahmed. Pathan praised Khalil’s speed, swing and bouncer and said that he is constantly improving his game.
Irfan also said that Khalil is currently on his career peak and can make a great contribution to Team India for the next 4-5 years. Playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, Khalil took 15 wickets and caught everyone’s attention.
Khalil has so far played 11 ODIs and 18 T20 Internationals for India. Even though he is currently out of Team India, Irfan Pathan believes that if he maintains fitness and form, he can play an important role for the team in the coming time.
