Former minister Deepak Joshi again returns to BJP, returns in front of Shivraj Singh in Budhni, still campaigning for Congress
Palpal correspondent, Bhopal. Deepak Joshi, son of former MP Chief Minister Kailash Jori and former minister, has once again joined BJP. Deepak Joshi has returned home in front of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Nandner of Budhni Assembly constituency. He left BJP and joined Congress one and a half years ago. In the 2023 elections, Deepak Joshi had contested from Khategaon seat on Congress ticket. He was defeated in this election. BJP candidate Ashish Sharma defeated him by 12542 votes.
On returning to BJP, former minister Deepak Joshi said that BJP is my home. I belong to a family from the Jana Sangh era. My father, I, Shivraj Singh Chauhan have worked together. This party has made the journey from footpath to aeroplane. Therefore, I can say that I made a mistake. After correcting that mistake, today I am back in my party.
It is noteworthy that former minister Deepak Joshi had addressed a meeting in Budhni assembly constituency 4 days ago on 3rd November. He had sought votes for Congress candidate Rajkumar Patel in the by-election on this seat. After this, he joined BJP on 7 November. On the other hand, BJP MLA Ashish Sharma, who defeated Deepak Joshi from Khategaon in the 2023 assembly elections, has welcomed the return of Deepak Joshi. He said that senior leaders have taken this decision after careful consideration in the interest of the party. On personal insults and comments during the elections, Sharma said that all these are part of war and game.
