New York. Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger passed away. He was 100 years old. He breathed his last at his residence in Connecticut. Kissinger remained active till his last days and participated in many White House meetings and also published a book on his leadership style. Along with this, he had also recently given his opinion in the Senate Committee on North Korea’s threat of nuclear attack. This year he reached Beijing on a tour of China. Kissinger celebrated his 100th birthday on 27 May this year. He also served as National Security Advisor as well as Secretary of State during the tenures of Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. He is included in the list of the most important people in modern American history. Kissinger played an important role in ending the Vietnam War and the withdrawal of American forces.
Henry Kissinger was born in Germany. Born in 1923, Kissinger’s family settled in America in 1938. Kissinger got American citizenship in the year 1943. Kissinger also served in the US Army for three years. He also served in the Counter Intelligence Corps.
