Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has applied for pension from Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. In 1993, he became an MLA from Kishangarh on a Congress ticket. According to the rule, 74 -year -old Dhankar will get a monthly pension of about 42 thousand rupees. In fact, the dual-wise pension system is applicable for the leaders in Rajasthan, under which MPs and MLAs can take pension. If a person has been in both the MP and the MLA, then he can take the pension of both the posts. However, the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker has not yet confirmed the application of Dhankhar.

Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned as Vice President on 21 July. He suddenly left his post, giving up his resignation and resigning to President Draupadi Murmu. After his resignation, the opposition created a lot of ruckus. Now Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan leads the new Vice President’s race.

Vice Presidential election will be held on September 9

Dhankhar suddenly resigned as Vice President, citing health reasons on 21 July. Elections are to be held on September 9 to choose his successor. The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Center has declared Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as Vice -Presidential candidate, while the opposition alliance ‘India’ has fielded former Supreme Court Judge B Sudarshan Reddy. Dhankhar’s term as Vice President was to end on 10 August 2027.
