1. Omkara (2006)
This was the role that stopped everyone laughing on Saif’s Rome-Com-Com-Image. A clever, lame villain who talks in pure Western UP Accent – Saif swallowed this character. Shakespeare got from Chambal and Saif gets acting nirvana.
2. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)
The cute but unfortunate friend who never did in love. While this film gave a new definition to friendship, Saif put iconic moments like cuteness, comic timing and ‘that girl hai’ in his character.
3. Being Cyrus (2005)
A mysterious drifter with emotions like dead, which is full of dangerous intentions – was really special to see Saif. If you remember this film, then you know that you should have got more than the award received.
4. We you (2004)
The quarrelsome, the complainant who is slowly matured. In this slow-burn Rome-Com-Compel, Saif becomes a man from a boy-and that too without bored. He also received the National Award for this film – because easy looking things are often difficult.
5. Sacred Games (2018–2019)
The broken inspector from inside, who is tired of the system and is unable to get out of his father’s shadow. Saif’s Sartaj Singh was one of the most real and interesting characters in Netflix’s first big Indian series. And yes, the beard was fantastic.
6. Udaybhan Rathore – Tanhaji (2020)
Villain of history, but with full drama. Blood thirsty, crazy, and over-the-top-Saif was in a very fun mode in this role. Eyeliner, fur coat, slow-mo smiles-they knew which film he was in.
7. Go Goa Gone (2013)
Both India’s first Zombie comedy and Saif’s first bleach-Bond Avatar-both are memorable. He describes himself as Russian, looks as if he has come from Ibiza, and also specializes in killing Zombi. The craze of this Cult film and the commitment of Saif – both are amazing.
8. Love Aaj Kal (2009)
Two time, one heartbreak and lots of tears. In this Imtiaz Ali film, Saif played two characters simultaneously – today’s Jai and the hero of the old world. In both style, he showed balance and charm. And yes, do not pretend to hum “distance” in the rain.
9. A Hasina was (2004)
He smiled, you trusted – and this is the mistake here. Saif has become a clever thug in this thriller, who gradually pushes his innocent girlfriend into hell. His style is cold, accurate and heartbreaking.
10. Parineeta (2005)
In this beautiful film made on Sharat Chandra’s novel, Saif played the kurta-pajama, pain and love with full vigor. Her chemistry with Vidya Balan was like electricity, and on the piano, he was playing hearts like.
