Why Indian Team Lost Ind vs Eng 1st Headingley Test 3 Points:

The Indian team is on a tour of England for the five -match Test series. The first match of the series was played in Handingley, Leeds, in which Team India suffered a ’embarrassing defeat’ by 5 wickets. In the match, Team India, captained by Shubman Gill, made many big mistakes, due to which they had to face defeat.

The team left 8 catches. Apart from this, India’s bowling was very cheap. 5 centuries were definitely seen from India, but still the batting of the team cannot be called good. So let’s know what were the 3 big reasons for Team India’s defeat in the headingley Test.

1- Leave 8 catches

Team India left a total of 8 catches in the Handingley Test. In this, 4 catches were dripped by Yashasvi Jaiswal alone. Leaving such a catch made a lot of trouble for the team. Many catches were released by players who played brilliant innings. Leaving the catch proved to be a major cause of defeat for Team India.

2- Millid order flop in batting completely

In the match, Team India had come to batting first. Gill’s captaincy team scored 471 runs in the first innings at the loss of 10 wickets. In this innings, Team India lost the last 7 wickets on the score of just 41 runs. The team lost the fourth wicket at a score of 430 runs and then the entire team was all out for 471 runs.

Similarly, in the second innings, Team India’s middle and lower order proved to be a flop. In the second innings, India scored 364 runs at the loss of 10 wickets. In this innings, Team India lost the last 6 wickets on the score of just 31 runs. In this way, the middle and lower order of the team did not contribute at all in both innings. This was a big reason for defeat for Team India.

3- Garibly bowling

In the match, only tight bowling was seen from Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah took 5 wickets in the first innings. However, Bumrah could not get any wicket in the second innings. Apart from Bumrah, the rest of the bowlers took wickets in both innings but no one was seen bowling in rhythm. In this way poor bowling also proved to be a major reason for Team India’s defeat.
