The Ghaziabad Development Authority i.e. GDA will create an international level shooting range on 10 acres of land in Newari. The GDA has taken this decision under the order of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in which he has asked to change the city of Ghaziabad as a sports hub. According to the Times of India news, GDA chairperson Atul Vats said that a meeting for the shooting range was held in Newari and it was discussed in detail. The Chief Minister had also announced in a recent visit to Ghaziabad that a cricket stadium in Ghaziabad would also be developed.
Let me tell you, the shooting range campus being made by GDA will also have integrated multiproops halls, hostels and other means of sports. The tender process for the construction of the shooting range will be adopted, so that this agency should do the work that experiences the first international level shooting range.
International Cricket Stadium will also be constructed
According to the news, Vats further said that the International Cricket Stadium in Morma was first to be taken by the BCCI but now it will develop Ghaziabad Development Authority. He said that as per the earlier plan, the International Cricket Stadium with a capacity of 55,000 will be constructed at a cost of Rs 450 crore. It will be ready on 31 acres of land. Earlier in April, the state’s Expenditure Finance Committee approved a budget of Rs 108 crore under the State Smart City Project. Under this project, 22 indoor and outdoor sports were said to be organized.
National level tournaments will be organized
It is in 48000 square meters in Sports Complex Nandagram. It has a seating area of 750 people, while 400 trains have parking space. It has 6 tennis courts, 9 badminton courts, 2 squash courts, basketball court, semi-lympic swimming pools, box cricket, a cricket practice pitch and other facilities. This shows that this sports complex can organize national level tournament. It has been reported in the news that construction and design service will develop this complex.
