The ceasefire was announced on May 10 between India and Pakistan but a few hours after this announcement, Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire, causing resentment throughout India. Due to frequent provocative stress has increased again and it has been severely criticized from many areas.

Former Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan also expressed his anger on social media by condemning Pakistan’s antics. He wrote in strong words, “The poor country again showed its cheapness in front of the whole world.” Not only this, former cricketer Virender Sehwag also reacted sharply to this act of Pakistan. On his official social media handle X (East Twitter), Sehwag shared a picture, which said, “The dog’s tail remains crooked.”

During the press conference, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said that despite a mutual agreement to maintain peace, Pakistan violated the ceasefire by resorting to firing and drone attacks from across the border. Mea confirmed that the Indian Army replied rapidly and effectively, neutralizing all the dangers. In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed the Indian Premier League 2025 for a week on 9 May.

Although there is speculation that the tournament may start soon, but no official confirmation has been made by the board yet. Soon the official update about IPL may come and if the IPL resumes in this month, it will start from the match between Delhi Capital and Punjab Kings. During the match being played between these two teams in Dharamshala, the match was stopped in the middle due to the firing being done by Pakistan and the stadium was evacuated.
