Uttar Pradesh News Desk In coordination with Uttar Pradesh Sports Directorate and State Football Association, competitions were held in the state level senior football men’s competition being organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar International Sports Complex. In this competition, seven teams won their respective league matches on the fourth day among the teams of all 18 divisions of the state.
Shakeel Ahmed Ansari, Deputy Sports Officer of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar International Sports Complex, Dabhasemar, said that league matches will be played even before the quarter finals. The winning teams in this league match will compete in the quarter-final match to be held on 22nd. The semi-finals will be held on 23rd and the final match will be held on 24th. Seven league matches were played on Sunday. In the league match, Saharanpur division defeated Aligarh division 1-0. Pravez scored a goal for Saharanpur division. In the second league match, Lucknow Mandal defeated Mirzapur Mandal 3-0. Imran Khan, Manish Yadav, and Kamal Kumar scored one goal each for Lucknow division. In the third match, the match between Moradabad Division and Prayagraj Division was tied with one goal each. Harshit from Moradabad division and Satish Pathak from Prayagraj division scored one goal each. In the fourth match, Bareilly Division defeated Jhasi Division 2-0. Karthik Singh and Yugank Arya scored one goal each for Bareilly division. In the fifth match, Gorakhpur Mandal defeated Chitrakutdham Mandal 3-0. For Gorakhpur division, Kisan Yadav, Sarfaz and Safrudin scored one goal each. In the match, Meerut Division defeated Kanpur Division 2-1. Aditya and Anshul scored one goal each from Meerut division and Rajiv scored one goal from Kanpur division. The seventh match took place between Ayodhya and Devipatan Mandal. Ayodhya won by defeating Devipatan 3-0. This competition is being held in four pools. There are four matches each in two pools and five matches in two pools. There is still one match left for each pool.
Case registered against beating of old man
After a minor altercation in Snethu village of Purakalandar police station area, a young man jumped into the boundary wall and beat and injured an elderly person who was resting inside. The son of the injured elder has filed a report. An altercation broke out between Ravikumar and Vimal Kumar in Sanethu village. After which Ravi Kumar left. Vimal Kumar jumped over the boundary wall outside their house and entered inside, rested there and beat Hare Lalta Prasad with a stick.
