Shardul Thakur Double-Government Over: India vs England On the fifth day of the Handingley Test being played between, when the match was seen coming out of India, Shardul Thakur did amazing in his ‘Lord’ style. The first few overs did not show much effect, but then pressurized England with two big wickets in one over.

On the last day of the first Test being played between India and England in Leeds’s headingley, Shardul Thakur showed why he is called ‘Lord Thakur’. In the last day against England, when Rat was in dire need of Breakthrough, Shardul took two wickets in the match and killed him in the match.

In the 55th over of the innings, Thakur first caught Ben Docket in the cover on full length ball. Docket was playing 149 runs and was alone with England’s hope. On the next ball, Thakur threw a half volley, on which Harry Brook tried to play on the leg side but took the edge of the bat directly into the hands of Rishabh Pant. Pant grabbed a brilliant diving catch and sent Brook to the pavilion without opening an account.

Thakur did not get much opportunity in the first innings, he threw only 6 overs and also looted runs. But in the fourth innings, captain Shubman Gill expressed confidence in him and Thakur showed why he is worth getting a place in the team. After this double shock, India again got a hold in the match and put pressure on England by breaking the Docket-Brook pair.
