Career started with a small roll
Sayoni Ghosh played important roles in Bhojpuri and Bengali films for many years, which also saw his Vinhidhta. He selected different types of characters. Apart from acting, he also stepped into the music world and won the hearts of people with his songs. The actress was also screte on TV. She is now MP from Jadavpur since 2024 and is playing an active role in politics. Sayoni Ghosh was born in Kolkata, West Bengal and grew up there. She made her acting debut with the telephilm ‘Ichhe Dana’ and then entered Bengali films. His Big Screen Debut was in 2010 with the comedy film ‘Notborn Notout’ in which his role was quite small.

Election of assembly fought first
Sayoni Ghosh joined Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress on 24 February 2021 and the same year she got a chance to contest from Asansol South Assembly seat. However, there she lost to BJP’s Agnimitra Paul by nearly 4400 votes. Despite the defeat, he was made the state president of the TMC Youth Congress Youth Wing in June 2021. Earlier, Abhishek Banerjee was the president, but was given a big responsibility, after which Sayoni Ghosh got this important role when the post was vacant. After this, in March 2024, TMC gave him a ticket from Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency, this is the same seat where Mamata Banerjee won the election in 1984.

Mimi Chakraborty replaced
Prior to this seat, in 2019, actress Mimi Chakraborty was an MP, who resigned before the 2024 elections. Mamta Banerjee chose Sayoni from this seat because she needed a strong MP. He told the stage that she will improve the mistake made last time and the service that people did not get will now be available. During the campaign, Sayoni did door to door convene. He decided to personally join more than five lakh voters instead of public public meeting. He presented himself as Jadavpur Lucky local. She said that she read this and stays here and with this people could become trust.
2024 Lok Sabha election results
The election was held on 1 June 2024 and the results were declared on 4 June 2024. Sayoni Ghosh defeated BJP’s Dr. Anirban Ganguly by a huge margin of 258201 votes by getting 717899 votes. Shrijan Bhattacharya of CPI (M) finished third. With this victory, he carried forward the tradition of TMC’s consistent victory in Jadavpur Lok Sabha seat since 2009, as the party has been giving tickets to a new face in every election.
