Godrej and DLF became the country’s number 1 and 2 real estate brands, made records by selling property worth so thousand crores

According to data collected from the stock market, 26 major listed real estate companies of India have sold assets worth Rs 1.62 lakh crore in the previous financial year (2024-25). Among them, Godrej Properties became the largest company with a sales booking of around Rs 30,000 crore. In terms of market capitalization, the largest real estate company DLF Limited finished second with a record sales booking of more than Rs 21,000 crore during 2024-25.
20% big jump in sales of companies
This is followed by Macrotech Developers (Lodha Group), Prests Estates Projects and Signature Global. According to investors’ presentations and data collected from the stock market, 26 major listed real estate companies reported a joint sale booking or sales booking of Rs 1,61,722 crore with more than 20 per cent increase in the last financial year. A large part of the sales booking came from the residential area, especially luxury homes, while the contribution from commercial properties was less. In terms of annual sales booking, Godrej Properties emerged as the largest listed company with sales booking of Rs 29,444 crore during the last financial year. Its pre-cells stood at Rs 22,527 crore during the financial year 2023-24.
DLF benefited from ‘The Dahilas’
DLF sales booking increased from Rs 14,778 crore to Rs 21,223 crore, which was due to strong sales in its ultra luxury housing project ‘The Dahilas’ in Gurugram. Let us tell you that in October last year, DLF launched a 17-acre luxurious residential project ‘The Dahilas’ in DLF Phase-5 in Gurugram, including 420 apartments and penthouse. The minimum size of an apartment is 10,300 square feet. DLF has received an average of about Rs 70 crore per unit.
