Gohana: Petrol pump salesman of sugar mill committed a scam of Rs 18.82 lakh

A case of scam of Rs 18.82 lakh has come to light by a salesman working at the petrol pump of Chaudhary Devi Lal Co-operative Sugar Mill Limited located in Ahulana village of Gohana. This was revealed when the petrol pump manager reconciled the accounts for the month of September. After this, the manager lodged a police complaint against the accused salesman.
Petrol pump manager Surendra Singh said that Amit Kumar, resident of village Ahulana, was working as a salesman at the petrol pump. His job was to deposit the amount received from the sale of petrol and diesel in the bank account attached to the mill. When the sales and bank accounts of the month of September were matched, it was found that Rs 6 lakh 51 thousand 231 from the sale of petrol and Rs 12 lakh 31 thousand 81 from the sale of diesel had not been deposited in the bank account, due to which a total of 18 lakh rupees were deposited in the bank account. There was embezzlement of Rs 82 thousand 312. The manager told that salesman Amit Kumar has not come to the petrol pump since October 18 and his mobile is also switched off.
Baroda police station in-charge Inspector Lal Singh said that on the complaint of the manager, a case of embezzlement has been registered against the accused salesman. Police are investigating the matter and the accused will be arrested soon.
