Sanjay Gupta, Director, Indian Footwear Components Manufacturing (IFFCOMA) said that “India has become self-reliant in footwear components manufacturing”. According to him, the manufacturing companies in the country are meeting the domestic demand as well as the demand of many other countries. Today the business of footwear components in the country has reached Rs 20 thousand crores, the target is to increase the business to Rs 50 thousand crores by the year 2028. That’s their goal.

Chairman of Super House Group, Mukhtarul Amin said that 10 years ago, India used to import 90 percent of the footwear components, but now only 10 percent of the components are imported. At present, China is at the first position in the footwear business, which India will soon leave behind. It is being told that China is the largest manufacturer of footwear components in the world. After this, Vietnam and India at third place.

Business will increase if infrastructure problems are resolved.

65 manufacturers will set up 80 stalls in Shoe-Tech 2024.

During the press conference, Creative India Director Prerena Verma said that Kanpur Indian Footwear Components Manufacturing Association Shoe-Tech 2024 will be organized at KLC Complex Banthar Unnao on 16 and 17 October. In this 14th edition, 65 manufacturers will set up 80 stalls, in which along with Kanpur, people from cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai, Bangalore etc. will also participate. In this, six best performers will also be rewarded.
