Good news! Now LIG-MIG flats will be replaced instead of EWS, home will be 550 square feet instead of 350
Madhya Pradesh Housing Board i.e. MPHIDB has prepared a proposal for important changes in the re-development policy. Under this, residents will now be able to choose LIG (low income group) and MIG (Middle Income Group) size flats or houses in their old building or campus. According to the news of magazine.com, the proposal has been sent to the government and after approval it will be implemented in the upcoming projects. The biggest advantage of this scheme will be to the residents of EWS (Economic Vicer Sex) category. Those who have been living in small houses of 350–400 sq ft from the last 25 to 30 years, they will now be able to demand a flat of 550–600 square feet under the re-development projects. However, they will have to pay according to the existing guidelines for additional space.
Proposal to give big houses up to 20%
According to the news, it is proposed to give up to 20% house under the new policy. For example, if someone’s current house is of 350 square feet, he can get a new housing up to 420 square feet. The Housing Board has received information in public hearing and feedback that the needs of the growing families are now more than before, so it has become necessary to increase the size of the housing. Project Incharge Jitendra Gautam said that people want big and better housing in their current campus.
Keeping this demand in mind, a proposal has been prepared to change the housing category and give LIG-MIG option. This policy will not only give people according to their changing needs, but will also ensure better re-development of old colonies and complexes. The MP Housing Board is the official Housing Development Agency of Madhya Pradesh. It constructs residential colonies and affordable houses across the state. The board competes with private developers.
