Lucknow. All the bodies of the state should make concrete efforts on the ground to perform better in Swachh Survekshan-2024 and improve the ranking of cleanliness standards at the national level. All responsible officers/personnel will discharge their responsibilities with promptness and will also make continuous efforts to improve the shortcomings of cleanliness survey of previous years. All the bodies will work seriously on regular cleanliness, garbage disposal, garbage disposal and source segregation. Any kind of laxity and negligence in maintaining cleanliness standards will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken.

• There should be no negligence in regular cleaning, garbage disposal, garbage disposal and source segregation.
• For regular monitoring of works, check points should be made in all bodies, use of apps and technology.
• Pay attention to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, water and electricity supply, finishing of public and community toilets.

Uttar Pradesh’s Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma was virtually reviewing the works of the civic body regarding the upcoming cleanliness survey to be conducted at the national level at Jal Nigam’s Field Hostel Sangam, Lucknow on Thursday. He said that there has been laxity in monitoring the work being done in the civic bodies for more than the last two years. But now no one will be allowed laxity in civic work. The way action is being taken regularly against electrical personnel for negligence in the Energy Department.

Similarly, now be prepared to face the punishment of action in the civic bodies also.
The Urban Development Minister said that check points should be made in all the bodies for regular monitoring of cleanliness works. Also, help of apps and modern technology should also be taken. Even at the headquarters level, regular monitoring of works should be done through DCCC, so that the level of state bodies improves in the national clean ranking. Asked to renovate water bodies, nectar lakes of civic bodies, increase cleanliness, beauty, greenery and also make track paths for the elderly and children. This will free the water bodies from encroachment and will also provide shelter to people for a moment of peace.

He said that efforts will be made for regular cleanliness, door to door garbage collection, garbage disposal, garbage disposal and source segregation in all the civic bodies. There should be better utilization of manpower and machines. In the bodies where used water processing units are working, the processed water should also be utilized in various forms. Attention should be paid to controlling increasing pollution. Maintain Miyawaki Garden properly, so that it becomes the center of attraction among the people.

The Urban Development Minister asked the Municipal Commissioner Prayagraj to ensure that there is no mistake anywhere in the preparations for Mahakumbh and to get all the work done in a better way and in a time bound manner. So that the beauty of Prayagraj spreads throughout the country and the world through Kumbh. Besides, in the Swachh Survekshan also, improvement was seen in the national level ranking in the position of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation.
