Google’s anti -trust case increased difficulty
Google’s search engine has increased difficult in the Monopoli Anti Trust case. The decision of the US Department of Justice regarding Google’s web search engine has been justified by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and has lashed out at the Tech company. FTC said in its statement that this search monopoly of the company is dangerous, due to which the growth of small business is not being done. The solution is the company’s break-up.
Monopoly on market
Google started its web based search engine in 1998, 27 years ago today. The company later launched several products including Google Aids, Google Chrome in the market. In view of the increasing demand for smartphones, the company launched the Android operating system and now the company is also making pixel smartphones including Gemini AI. The company has a monopoly in search market and digital advertisements because of Google’s monopoly.
Google is being heard on the anti-trust case in the US court for the last three weeks. In this, Google has added its side to technical development and timely changes. However, the Federal Trade Commission, while supporting the Department of Jethics, said that Google should dismantle and finish the monopoly of search, so that more rivals can come in online search. Google has no competition in this market due to monopoly in online search.
Google to FTC
According to the Reuters report, FTC says that Google will have to strengthen its privacy saford to improve the market competition. The Department of Justice has suggested to Google to sell its web browser Chrome business so that there can be fair competition in the market. At present, Google Chrome has more than 4 billion users all over the world. The company’s search engine works as a gateway for online search. This platform works to take 35 percent of users queries.
