Central government There is big news for millions of government employees working in. The government has changed the rules of pension. According to the information received, an employee of the public sector undertaking (PSU) will not get retirement benefits in the event of dismissing or removing. Giving this information, the Central Government said that the decision to review such dismissal or removal will be reviewed. The Ministry of Personnel has made major changes in the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021 in this regard. That is, if an employee is found involved in illegal work and is terminated from the job, then he will not get pension.

This change happened in the rule

According to the recently notified Central Civil Services (Pension) Amendment Rules, 2025, if any employee is dismissed from that company for any corruption after getting jobs in government companies, then its retirement benefits will be confiscated. These rules were notified on 22 May. It states that the ministry concerned will review the decision of the undertaking in the event of the dismissal, expulsion or retrenchment of the employee. Under previous rules, the retirement benefit was not allowed to be confiscated in the event of dismissal or removal of public sector undertaking staff. The new rules further stated that pension and family pension under good conduct and continuing or giving compassion allowance will also apply to such dismissal or trimmed employees.

Rules will not be applicable to these government employees

This new rule will not be implemented to officials of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2021 railway employees, persons involved in casual and daily salaried employment, and Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFOS) officers. However, except this, this new rule will be applicable to government employees appointed on or before 31 December, 2003.
