Government sources have informed that Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will talk to all parties for impeachment motion against Judge Yashwant Verma.

After the case surfaced, he was transferred to the Allahabad High Court. The Supreme Court’s inquiry committee investigated the case and convicted Judge Yashwant Verma. According to sources, the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sanjeev Khanna had asked Judge Yashwant Verma to resign, but refused. After this, Justice Sanjeev Khanna wrote a letter to the President and Prime Minister of India and recommended impeachment action against Justice Verma.
