A letter has been written to the Health Department in this regard.
Roadways General Manager will work to establish contact with the Civil Surgeon of every district. As a pilot project, medical camps will be started first from Ambala district. After getting good response, it will be gradually started in other districts also. Roadways Union had demanded from the Transport Minister for health checkup of drivers and conductors, which was accepted by Anil Vij and in the review meeting of the department, instructions were given to organize medical camps. 650 new buses will be purchased
In this regard, the department official says that by organizing medical camps, the diseases of the employees will be identified in time and if any employee is found suffering from any problem, he will also get relief.
Anil Vij said that the state government will soon purchase 650 new buses, which will include 150 AC and 500 non-AC buses. This proposal will be sent in the upcoming High Power Purchase Committee meeting.
