Greater Noida The authority is converting villages in its area into smart villages, where they will get facilities like sectors of cities. So far, 8 villages including Macha and Gharbara have been developed as a smart village at a cost of about Rs 70 crore. At the same time, this work is going on fast in 15 other villages, on which Rs 45.15 crore is being spent and it is expected to be completed in the next one year.

The main objective of the Gram Vikas Yojana of Greater Noida Authority is to overall the villages and equip them with modern facilities. Senior manager Rajesh Kumar Nim said that in this episode, the work of developing Khairpur Gurjar village as smart villages has started. In the first phase, sewer, drinking water pipeline and CC road are being constructed in all the streets. Apart from this, the work of repairing the procession house and boundary walls is also being done, which will relieve problems like waterlogging in the village. According to the authority’s ACEO Sunil Kumar Singh, under this scheme, all the necessary facilities like road, sewer, drinking water pipeline, drainage and beautification of schools are being provided in the villages. Playgrounds are also being developed.

These villages made smart

So far, Macha, Gharbara, Ghanghola, Ladpura, Tilpata Karanwas, Sadullapur, Kailashpur and Jalpura villages have been developed as a smart village at a cost of about Rs 69.09 crore. However, there are still complaints about regular cleanliness in these villages. Apart from this, smart villages work is going on in 15 other villages, which will be completed in the next one year. Officials said that an action plan is being prepared to complete the remaining development works as soon as possible. The arrangements of schools and hospitals are also being repaired under the Village Development Scheme. This initiative is playing an important role in bringing rural areas of Greater Noida closer to urban facilities and improving the standard of living of the residents.
