A living example of administrative apathy

The collapse of the Gambhira bridge is another example of administrative apathy that has killed people. The bridge was built in 1985 i.e. 40 years ago and was operational despite having a dilapidated situation. It seems as if he was waiting for a big disaster. Following the recommendation of local BJP MLA Chaitanya Singh Jala, the state government approved the construction of a new bridge. The survey was also conducted and work on the plan to construct the new bridge started. Meanwhile, Gambhira bridge was repaired and kept open to traffic. After today’s tragedy, the question arises as to why the government did not close the dilapidated bridge. If this was the case, there would not have been the deaths of citizens today.
