Gujarat: Part of the bridge under construction of Bullet Train project collapsed, 3 workers died, 2 injured

Ahmedabad. A major accident has occurred in Vasad, Gujarat. Here some part of the bridge under construction suddenly collapsed. So far, three laborers have died due to being buried under the debris after the accident, two laborers have been rescued from the debris and admitted to the hospital. Rescue work is going on at the spot. According to the information, this bridge is part of the Bullet Train Project.

During the work, suddenly a large part of the stone of the bridge broke and fell. During the accident, many laborers working on the spot got buried under the debris. After the loud explosion, part of the bridge fell several feet. Hearing the sound, people working nearby reached the spot to help. The matter was informed to the police and fire department.

Administration ordered investigation into the accident

After receiving the information, the rescue team reached the spot. At present the rescue work is going on. The road has been closed by barricading around the incident site. Many ambulances and fire brigade vehicles had reached the spot. The condition of the injured is stable. After the accident, senior officers of Anand Police have reached the spot. The local administration has ordered an investigation into the accident.

This is the reason for the accident

It is being told that huge concrete slabs were being placed on the bridge. One of these slabs has fallen, under which workers may be buried. According to police officials, relief work is going on at the spot. This accident happened near Rajupura near Vasad river. It is being told that the workers were working on the bridge under construction. During this, suddenly the iron gutter broke, the stones placed on it fell down.
