Guyana, Barbados to confer their highest awards to PM Modi, here is how his award cabinet looks like
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be honored with yet another two prestigious international awards, for his selfless leadership and contributions on the global stage. Guyana will confer its highest national honor, “The Order of Excellence”, on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while Barbados will bestow the esteemed “Honorary Order of Freedom of Barbados” upon him. Both Guyana and Barbados praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his significant contributions to strengthening global partnerships and advancing sustainable development. These accolades follow the Commonwealth of Dominica’s recent announcement to award PM Modi its highest national honour, the ‘Dominica Award of Honour’.
It must be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Guyana on 20th of November marking the final stop of his three-nation tour following the G20 Summit in Brazil. In a remarkable gesture, he was welcomed at the airport by President Irfan Ali and more than a dozen cabinet ministers.
With the two prestigious awards from Guyana and Barbados, the Indian Prime Minister has got a hold of 19 International Awards ever since he assumed the office in 2014. Here is the list of all the International Awards the Indian Prime Minister grabbed in the past 10 years of being in office.
Dominica Award of Honor
The Commonwealth of Dominica recently announced to confer its highest national award, the Dominica Award of Honor, on PM Modi.
Order of Niger
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Nigeria’s second highest honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger on 17th of November, 2024.
Order of St. Andrew Award
On the 9th of July, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin honored the Indian Prime Minister with Russia’s highest national award at St. Andrew Hall in the Kremlin.
Order of the Druk Gyalpo
Bhutan’s highest civilian award was presented to Narendra Modi in March 2024 and thus he became the first foreign Head of Government to receive this award.
Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor
In July 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, France’s highest civilian and military distinction, from French President Emmanuel Macron.
Grand Cross of the Order of Honor
On August 25, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Honor by the President of Greece, HE Katerina N. Sakellaropoulou.
Order of Nile
In June 2023, the ‘Order of the Nile’ award which is Egypt’s highest state honor was given to PM Modi by the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Grand Companion of the Order of Logohu
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored by the Governor General of Papua New Guinea Bob Dadae with the Grand Companion of the Order of Logohu (GCL), the highest civilian award of Papua New Guinea.

Fiji’s highest honor was bestowed by its Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka upon the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May 2023.
