Let us tell you that at present, 60% of the normal toll is charged on such 2 -lane NH, even if it is not running the construction work on it. After the proposal is approved, the toll will decrease by 30%.

If this proposal of the Ministry of Road Transport is passed and the Finance Ministry gets a green signal, then during the construction, the person traveling on the highway will have to pay up to 30 percent less toll than normal toll. In the case of widening 4 -lane highways up to six lanes or expanding six -lane highways up to eight lanes, the in -charge toll during the construction phase is limited to 75 percent of the normal rate.

Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a plan to convert 25,000 km of two -lane highways into four -lane highways in the next two years.
