Haris Rauf set T20 world record, but not bowling but in batting
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf (HARIS RAUF) on Tuesday (September 2) bowled in bowling in the T20 International Tri-series against Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, but in batting he played the biggest innings for his team.
Chasing the target, Rauf, who came out to bat at number 10 for the Pakistan team, scored an unbeaten 34 in 16 balls, hitting 4 sixes.
Rauf has jointly reached the first number in the T20 International (full member country), batting at number 10, hitting the most sixes in an innings. Earlier, in the match against England in 2022, Akil Hussain of West Indies hit four sixes while batting at number 10.
Apart from this, while batting at number 10, Rauf also took the record of playing the biggest innings for Pakistan and this has happened for the first time that a number 10 or 11 batsman has been the top scorer for Pakistan.
Rauf shared an unbeaten 40 -run partnership for the tenth wicket with Haris Rauf to bat at number 11, which is a record. Earlier in 2010, Shoaib Akhtar and Wahab Riyaz shared an unbeaten 31 -run not an unbeaten 31 -run wicket in the match against New Zealand in Auckland.
Significantly, Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by 18 runs in this match. This is Afghanistan’s second consecutive win in the T20 International Tri-series. Batting first after winning the toss, Afghanistan scored 169 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs. In response, Pakistan could score only 151 runs after losing 9 wickets.
