Haryana received National Award, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and closing ceremony of Amrit Kalash Yatra.

Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Haryana has achieved an important achievement in the nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, for which Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented the National Award to the state. Haryana has been ranked third in the country on the basis of programs organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Haryana Chief Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kaushal received this award from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the closing ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Amrit Kalash Yatra.

A jury was constituted to select the best performing States and Union Territories for the AMRUT Awards and after considering the overall criteria, the jury recommended Haryana as the third best performing State in the country. The Information, Public Relations and Language Department was designated as the nodal department in the state for organizing programs under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal congratulated the department on this achievement and said that the state should continue to achieve similar achievements in future also. He said that this department is also giving commendable cooperation to other departments in making the government policies and programs available to the general public and also in implementing many programs and schemes.

Chief Secretary Shri Sanjeev Kaushal, after receiving the award, said that to commemorate the completion of 75 years of the country’s independence, along with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations for two years across the country, Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign was also launched, which has concluded today. This monumental event was organized as a tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of those who fought for India’s independence and worked tirelessly to build a self-reliant nation. He said that Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was organized on a large scale in the entire country in which there was public participation of the entire government and the entire society.

He said that under the able leadership and guidance of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal, a large number of programs were organized in the state under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 12, 2021 to October 31, 2023 and their details were also uploaded on the website dedicated to the Mahotsav. Went. He said that news clippings and social media posts of various programs organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav have been compiled in PDF files, which can be viewed to get a comprehensive overview of the important activities held in the State to commemorate this historic occasion. This compilation will provide valuable insights into the state’s contribution to India’s celebration of 75 years of independence.

Giving information about the programs organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Language Department and Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Aggarwal said that the programs which lasted for two years were divided into three parts by the Government of India, in which the first One part was dedicated to the heroes of the country’s independence, in the second part a special campaign was run to hoist the tricolor at every house and in the third part the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign was run.

He said that under this festival dedicated to the freedom fighters of the country, more than 51,000 programs were organized in Haryana, which were uploaded on the website of the festival and about 32 thousand of them were published on the website. In these programs, more than a thousand such heroes and heroes who were previously unknown were identified. Among these, especially the people of village Rohnat in Bhiwani district did not bow before the British rule and were martyred. The tricolor was not hoisted in this village for years and it was Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal who freed the people of this village from the pain of slavery. In the second part, under the special campaign to hoist the tricolor at every house, about 70 lakh flags were hoisted on houses in the year 2022 and 74 lakh flags in 2023. In the third part, under the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, stone plaques were also installed in 6841 villages and 88 municipal bodies. Dr Aggarwal told that a grand museum is also being built at a cost of about Rs 500 crore in the memory of the heroes of India’s first war of independence in 1857.

Known and unknown heroes remembered through plays

During the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav program, plays were also organized in Haryana to connect the common people with the festival and to provide information about the unknown heroes of independence. In this series, ‘Dastan-e-Rohnat’ dedicated to the martyr of Rohnat village of Bhiwani district, who started the revolution against the British rule, was staged in all the districts. In this series, through the play ‘War of 1857, Haryana’s Bravehearts’, the public was introduced to the first war of independence of the country. Not only this, it was told through ‘Dastan-e-Ambala’ that the spark of the revolution of 1857 had erupted in Ambala before Meerut.

Haryana made record earlier also

Haryana has been on top in organizing programs under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Geeta Mahotsav was organized under this festival, in which with the participation of crores of people in Surya Namaskar, four new records were made, which mainly include Guinness World Record, World Book of Records London, Amazing Olympia World Record, Golden Book of World Records. Focusing on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, through Surya Namaskar, the message of saving the culture of the country was given to the people.

Five special publications were also made

Five special books were published under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in Haryana. These books were published by Haryana Sahitya Academy and Punjabi Sahitya Academy based on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Hindi litterateurs of Haryana, special editions of Journal Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Haryana Samvad and Haryana Review in Punjabi were brought out.

Amrit Vatikas created to save the future

Under the forward-looking thinking and direction of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal, a tree plantation campaign was launched at village and urban levels across the state. Under this campaign, awareness programs were also organized to plant more and more trees. Due to this, several lakh saplings were planted across the state. The important thing was that Amrit Vatikas were created remembering the martyrs and martyrs. It was a different and unique thinking of the Chief Minister that to perpetuate the memory of the martyrs, it was linked to Amrit Vatika.
