Meanwhile, former captain of Pakistan cricket team and all-rounder Shaheed Afridi has also slammed Babar. He has targeted the performance of legendary players of Team India by comparing him to Babar.

Shahid Afridi lashed out at Babar Azam

Shahid Afridi raised questions on Babar Azam’s batting and said that his innings do not help the team win. While praising Indian batsmen like Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, he said that they score runs according to the situation and help the team win, but this is not the case with Babar Azam.

After the win against Bangladesh, Afridi said on a TV show, “Babar Azam scoring runs is a different thing and winning the match with his score is a different thing. What do Virat Kohli, KL Rahul etc. do? He also scores his runs, plays the ball and also helps the team win matches.”

There is no feeling of victory due to Babar Azam’s batting – Shahid

46-year-old Shahid Afridi says that after watching Babar Azam’s batting, he does not feel that he can win the match. Looking at him it seems that he will come back after scoring just 50-60 runs. Afridi said,

“I have talked about Babar Azam earlier also. But sometimes fans don’t like this. If Babar is a big player, he will have to maintain his performance. We should feel that if Babar Azam is going on the field, we are going to win. But, when he goes out to bat, we don’t get that feeling. We have the feeling that he will score 50-60 runs, but we do not have the feeling that he will win the match. We want a player who can go in and return after winning the match.”
