Heavy rains in Maharashtra, water in homes and shops in Nashik

The water level of the Godavari river has increased due to heavy rains in Nashik, Maharashtra. This entered the houses and shops of the low-lying areas along the river. The Khirkhi River in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, came to an end, causing the contact of about 20 villages.
The water level of Falgu River suddenly increased after the rain in Gayaji, Bihar. 20 people got trapped by this. Local villagers rescued 18 people. 2 died. Four people, including mother and son were swept away in the sudden floods in the Mani river of Surguja due to heavy rains in Chhattisgarh.
The Meteorological Department has today issued an orange alert of rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Madhya Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Rivers in Maharashtra above danger mark, school-college closed in Raigad today
The Meteorological Department issued an alert for several districts of Maharashtra on Thursday night, as some parts of the state received heavy rains. Due to this, many rivers are flowing above the danger mark. Amba and Kundalika rivers in Raigad have crossed the danger mark. At the same time, a warning has also been issued for the Patalganga River.
The Jagbudi river in Ratnagiri is also flowing above the danger mark. As a precaution, all schools and colleges in Raigad district have been closed for today.
Indrayani and some other rivers have been flooded in western Maharashtra. The Godavari river in Nashik is in spate due to heavy rains. Many temples here are submerged in Godavari water.
