Heavy rains in Mumbai, heat-rain in Rajasthan and dust storm
Monsoon entry has been done in 17 states of the country. On Wednesday, Chhattisgarh reached Chhattisgarh 12 days ahead of the time and 13 days before the time. Some districts of both states received heavy rains.
Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad in Maharashtra are receiving heavy rains today. A yellow alert of rain has been issued here. There has been waterlogging in different areas of Badlapur, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan, Dombivali and Thane.

More than 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh received rain on Tuesday. Even today, there is a warning of rain with strong thunderstorms in 40 districts including Bhopal, Indore-Ujjain. In some districts, the speed of thunderstorms can be up to 50 kmph. There is a rainy alert in 12 districts of Bihar today.
The possibility of this monsoon season average 106% rainfall in the country
This time, more than normal rainfall is expected in the monsoon season (June to September). The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that up to 106% rain may occur. Last month it was described as 105%. Rainfall will be more than normal even in the month of June.
IMD said on 27 May, ‘The country is expected to receive more than normal rainfall in the month of June, which could be 108%. That is, more than 87 cm of rain is estimated during this period. It is called long period average i.e. LPA.

Meteorological Director General Mrityunjay Mahapatra said that this time there may be more than normal rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha and adjoining areas. At the same time, some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are expected to receive less than normal rainfall.
Central and South India are expected to receive more than normal rainfall. North-west India may receive normal, while the Northeast may receive less than normal rainfall.
