Helmet mandatory for children above 4 years in Haryana, order applicable to children riding a bike also

In Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh, now it will be mandatory for bike riders above 4 years of age to wear helmets. This helmet should be as per the standards set by the Central Government. The bench of Haryana and Punjab High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Anil Kshetrapal has issued orders in this regard on October 29.

From the order of the High Court, only those Sikh men and women who are wearing turban will be exempted. In this case, the High Court has also summoned the details of the challan of the women riding the two-wheeler without helmet and the rider sitting behind the bike from Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Police. The next hearing of the case will be on December 4.

Order applicable to child riding on bike also
The High Court said in its order that this order will be applicable to every person above 4 years of age who is driving, sitting behind or being carried on a two-wheeler. Which also includes children.

The High Court order will be applicable to all types of bikes. If any Sikh rides a bike and is wearing a turban while sitting, then this order does not apply to him.

Central government should make rules for the safety of children below 4 years
The High Court said in the order that it told the Central Government that rules should be made for the safety of children below 4 years. Who are being taken on bikes. The High Court said that the helmet should be of good quality. The helmet should not be placed on the head but should be tied to the head.
