What did the army say in its statement?
The army said in a statement issued on Tuesday night that militants were targeted on different occasions in Sansa area of Jhob district, bordering Afghanistan from 7 to 11 August. He reported that “47 wreaks were sent to Jahanum after successful encounters by security forces between August 7 to 9.” The Pakistani army uses the word ‘Chhwarij’ for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered
The army said that after this, a search operation was carried out in the vicinity of Sansaa on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on the night of August 10 and 11. 3 more terrorists were successfully killed during this campaign. Arms, ammunition and explosives have been recovered from the slain terrorists. According to the news of the official ‘Associated Press of Pakistan’, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have appreciated the security forces for this successful campaign.
A convoy of security forces attacked
Meanwhile, the ‘Dawn’ newspaper quoted the officials as saying that 9 security personnel, including an officer, were killed and 6 others were injured in an attack on a convoy of security forces in Balochistan’s southern Vashuk district on Monday night. No official statement has been received from the army on this incident so far. According to the newspaper, the terrorists in the wash also tried to attack the police station which was recently assigned to the police.
