Highways and roads will be seen shining before Mahakumbh
The highways and roads connecting Prayagraj to other cities are being rejuvenated.
Along with wide roads, emphasis on multilingual signage, greenery, painting and beautification.
Toll plazas will also look beautiful, behavioral training will be conducted for the employees.
NHAI Chairman held review meeting, gave necessary guidelines to officials
Prayagraj, 6 November. The double engine government is emphasizing on making the occasion of Mahakumbh historic. In this sequence, special attention is being given to the roads connecting the highway to Prayagraj City. As per the intention of CM Yogi, NHAI and PWD have started polishing the highways and roads connecting the city. During Mahakumbh 2025, when crores of devotees from across the country and the world will reach Prayagraj by road, they will see wide roads as well as multilingual signage boards, greenery and paintings in a fixed period. Not only this, they will also be able to get all the facilities near the toll plaza.
Multilingual signage will be installed
On Wednesday, NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav reviewed the works of NHAI along with Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat and Principal Secretary PWD Ajay Chauhan in the auditorium located at Prayagraj Fair Authority. During this he said that Mahakumbh is a historic occasion and during this time we not only have to build roads but also have to make them good and beautiful. On all the roads connecting Prayagraj where work is going on, maximum signages should be installed with safety inspectors. There should be beautification work, painting, lighting and it should be equipped with cameras. Not only this, there should also be adequate signage on the roads welcoming the devotees.
There should be lighting facilities on the roads
He said that crores of people will come to Mahakumbh. The road should be such that its shine brings joy to the devotees. This is a great way to showcase your work to the whole world. He told his officers that wherever Cat’s Eye is to be installed, it should be installed. There should be flowering at the entry gate. There should be painting on the divider, so that devotees do not face problems during fog. The road lights of NH should be checked and put in order. Highlight the control room number of NHAI and also make people aware about NHAI’s Highway Travel App, so that they can ease their travel through it.
Toll plaza staff will undergo behavioral training
Regarding toll plazas, NHAI Chairman also said that there should be constant monitoring of toll plazas falling on the way to Kumbh. Toll plazas should look beautiful, so that people have a better experience. The facilities provided here should be well organized. Toilets should be clean. Behavioral training of toll plaza staff should be conducted in every situation. Also, it should be ensured that employees work in three shifts only at the toll plaza. Apart from this, provision of adequate number of ambulances along with incident vehicles should also be ensured.
Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, ADG Bhanu Bhaskar, Fair Officer Vijay Kiran Anand, DM Ravindra Kumar Mandar, SSP Kumbh Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi and other officers were present on this occasion.
