Shimla: There was a stir in a cloudburst in Darshal area of Rampur in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh at 10.15 pm on Wednesday. This caused a sudden flood in the Nogli drain flowing in the middle of the taklech market. The strong flow of water moved towards the areas below, which caused chaos and people were taken to safe places.

Cloud burst in Raldang Khad
The National Highway-5 has been blocked due to sudden floods due to cloudburst near Skibba village in Kinnaur district. A cloudburst incident occurred in the Raldang Khad near the village in Puh block of the district, which increased the water level of the ravine. As a result of a sudden flood, huge amounts of mud and stones accumulated on at least 150 meters of the road, which stopped the movement of vehicles on it. Debris and large stones fell on the road, which stopped the movement of vehicles on it. However, no casualties were reported in this incident.
August 8, alert of heavy rain in these districts
According to the information, many districts including Shimla have received heavy rains. Visibility in the hill city also decreased due to dense clouds. Meteorologist Sandeep Kumar Sharma said that heavy rain alert has been issued on August 7 in Sirmaur district. The weather will be faster again from August 8. Heavy rains are expected in Una, Chamba, Kangra, Sirmaur and parts of Solan on 8 and 9 August. As of August 5, the state has received 38 percent more rainfall than normal.
