Hindu businessman murdered in Bangladesh

Dhaka: There is a ruckus in Bangladesh again, the video of a gruesome incident there is going viral, it can be seen that the attackers beat Hindu businessman Lalchand Sohag with a concrete slab and beat him until he died. Even after taking his life, the limits of the cruelty of the killers did not stop, the attackers appeared dancing on his body. The murder caused resentment throughout Bangladesh, while on Saturday, hundreds of students took to the streets and accused the interim government of failing to stop mob violence.

Seven accused arrested

After this incident, Lieutenant General (Retired) Jahangir Alam Chaudhary, Bangladesh’s Home Affairs Advisor, said that at least seven people have been arrested so far in the case and a nationwide search operation has been launched on Sunday in connection with the murder of a junk businessman in Bangladesh.

According to the report of Pratheom Aloe, Jahangir Alam Chaudhary said that this campaign was launched to maintain law and order and ensure election and stability after the brutal killing of Lal Chand alias Sohag near Mitford Hospital on 9 July. He said, “The murder in the capital Mitford is very sad and barbaric. There is no place for such incidents in civilized society.” He further said that the spying branch (DB) of the police arrested two more accused in the case on Saturday night.

Nobody will be spared

He said that intelligence agencies are making tireless efforts to arrest the other accused and no one will be spared, no matter what their political identity is. He said, “The government believes that criminals are criminals. No criminal will be spared regardless of his political affiliation. No criminal will get shelter.”

The incident is on Thursday and its video is going viral on social media. In a video of the incident that went viral, after a business dispute, the junk seller was shown to be beaten to death in Rojoni Ghosh Lane near Mitford Hospital and was beaten to death with pieces of concrete and after his death was confirmed, the attackers started dancing on his body. The police had earlier arrested five people for alleged involvement in the murder.
