It is about 23.3 km long Hinjewadi -Sivajinagar Corridor. 87% of the project has been completed and the remaining work is in the final stages. This metro route for common passengers is expected to start from March 2026.

It is being developed through a joint venture of Tata and Siemens in the name of Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited. The project work started on November 25, 2021. The PMRDA Metro Rail Project has so far received four metro rails as part of the project. The capacity to carry passengers is one thousand and the train will run at a speed of 80 kmph.
