Actually Virat and Rohit can play their last ODI in Australia in October-November. Cricket Australia (CA) plans to give Kohli and Rohit a memorable farewell during India’s upcoming tour.

Team India will play three ODIs and three T20 matches in Australia in October-November. CA’s CEO Todd Greenberg said in an interview that this would probably be the last time when Virat and Rohit would be seen playing on Australian soil, and CA will ensure excellent farewell if this happens.

Possibility of retirement, But not confirmed

Although no official announcement has been made by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli regarding ODI retirement, the indication is that they are now slowly moving from international cricket to farewell.

Virat Kohli has scored an average of 57.88 in ODIs and Rohit also recently expressed his desire to play till the 2027 World Cup, but the picture could be further cleared after the possible last series in Australia.

Bangladesh will be on action

Earlier, both senior players may appear in action on a Bangladesh tour in August. India will play three ODIs against Bangladesh on 17, 20 and 23 August. This will also be followed by three T20 matches on 26, 29 and 31 August.

If Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli really say goodbye to ODI cricket later this year, it will end the end of a golden era of Indian cricket. Both players not only set records, but have made their place in the hearts of millions of cricket fans.
