Australia is a country in the world where the festival of Holi is celebrated like India. But the specialty of this festival is that it is celebrated not every year but every other year. It is known as Watermelon Festival. In this, watermelon is used instead of colors to play Holi.

South Africa

Holi festival is also celebrated in a grand manner in South Africa. Like India, Holika Dahan takes place here too. Here people apply colors to each other and sing songs in happiness. The Indian community living in Africa celebrates this festival in a very colorful manner.

mauritius

In the African country Mauritius, Holi is celebrated for about 40 days starting from the day of Basant Panchami. On this day people shower colors on each other. Like in India, here too Holika Dahan takes place a day before Holi.
