In July 2025, the cost of vegetarian and non -vegetarian plate made in domestic kitchen has declined. According to Crisil Intelligence’s latest ‘Roti-rice Rate Report’, this relief has come due to a decrease in vegetables and broiler chicken prices. According to PTI news, the vegetarian plate has become 14% cheaper on an annual basis. The vegetarian plate was priced at ₹ 28.1 in July, which is 14% lower than last year’s ₹ 32.6. However, compared to June 2025, an increase of 4% was seen when this price was ₹ 27.1.

How much reduced cost of non -vegetarian plate

According to the report, the cost of non -vegetarian plate on an annual basis has been relieved by 13%. The carnivorous plate cost ₹ 53.5 per plate, which is 13% less than last year and 2% less than in June. The fall in prices is due to a sharp fall in tomato, potato and onion prices. Prices of pulses have been reduced by 14%, due to better production and stock. Rice prices have also decreased by 4% annually.

Along with the declining prices of vegetables, the plate has become cheaper due to 12% annual and 9% monthly fall in broiler chicken prices. Crisil Intelligence Director Pushan Sharma said that in the coming times, the prices of the plate may remain low on a annual basis, but the strong prices of essential items like potatoes and onions will fix a limit of relief.
