Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced its sales data for May this year, saying that this month it sold a total of four lakh 65 thousand 115 vehicles, including domestic sales of 4 lakh 17 thousand 256 and export of 47 thousand 859.

The company also performed brilliantly in the field of motorsports. In the thrilling race of French Grandri, Honda’s RC 213 V bike returned to the podium due to the brilliant performance of Johan Zarko and Luka Marini, which was a proud moment for the team. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has recently updated its website. With this update, the company has removed Honda CD 110 from its website. It is believed that the company is going to stop selling this commuter motorcycle. The motorcycle was one of the most affordable bikes in the company’s portfolio.

The company issued a statement on Monday stating that the total sales from April to May of FY 2025-26 were nine lakh 45 thousand 979 units, with eight lakh 40 thousand 155 units in the domestic market and one lakh five thousand 824 units in exports. During May 2025, HMSI launched several new models in the Bigving segment, strengthening its premium motorcycle portfolio. These include the 50th anniversary edition of the new Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB 750 Hornet, CB 1000 Hornet SP and Gold Wing Tour. In addition, the e-clutch versions of CB 650R and CBR 650R are now available in India, which reflect the company’s commitment towards technological innovation.

Honda completed the construction of its 50 millionth motorcycle globally, achieving a historical achievement in the industry. This achievement honors the company’s first motorcycle ‘Dream D-Type’, launched in 1949. In order to increase the production capacity in India, HMSI also announced to launch a new production line at the Vitthalpur plant in Gujarat.

The company campaigned in 13 cities of Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Hazaribagh, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Kotputli, Faridabad, Vadodara, Tanjavur, Chengalpattu, Patiala, Bhagalpur and Kadappa to promote road safety awareness in May. Apart from this, a summer camp was organized in collaboration with Hyderabad Traffic Police, which aims to make children and youth aware of safe traffic behavior.
