Hong Kong, Asia Cup Squad: Hong Kong cricket team has announced its 20 -member squad for the Asia Cup 2025. The team will be commanded by Yasim Murtaza, while Babur Hayat has been made the vice -captain. This time Hong Kong is going to play the Asia Cup for the fifth time and the players will leave for UAE for the preparation camp.

The Hong Kong Cricket Board announced its 20 -member team for the Asia Cup 2025 on Friday (August 22). The team has been entrusted with the responsibility of captaincy to all -rounder Yasim Murtaza, while veteran batsman Babur will be the vice -captain.

Hong Kong had qualified for this tournament through the ACC Premier Cup 2024, where he defeated Nepal to finish second and secured the Asia Cup ticket. This will be Hong Kong’s fifth chance in the Asia Cup. Prior to this, he has played tournaments in 2004, 2008, 2018 and 2022.

The team will leave for UAE on August 24, where some T20 matches will also be played during the preparation camp. The special thing is that from this tournament, his new head coach and former Sri Lankan batsman Kaushal Silva will start his innings.

The Asia Cup 2025 is to start from 9 September from Hong Kong and Afghanistan, and Hong Kong will look at the last performance this time.
