Indian security forces have successfully killed three terrorists, carrying out Operation Mahadev. The terrorists who have been piled up during the operation on the outskirts of Srinagar include Suleman alias Asif, who is reportedly considered the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack. Two of Suleman’s companions are also killed in this operation. Both these terrorists have been identified as Jibran and Hamza Afghani. Gibran was reportedly involved in the Sonamarg tunnel attack last year.
Indian security forces were getting information about the terrorists from July 18. Two to three terrorists were spotted over the mountains and their communication set was intercepted. The terrorists were constantly in touch with their over ground workers and Pakistani terrorists.
How was the army operation completed?
After gathering information about the terrorists, 2 -2 national rifle teams and special forces of the Indian Army started siege over the mountains. There should be no harm to ordinary citizens in an encounter with terrorists and soldiers should also be at least threat. This was taken care of and chakravyuh was created. This operation was named Mahadev because it is very close to Srinagar and the operation took place on Monday. The entire area also has Shalimar Bagh Nishad and Harman Tourist spots. Therefore, a lot of precaution was taken in this operation.
All three terrorists were piled together
After siege, the army fired and killed the three terrorists together. The forest was dense and the terrorists should not get out and do not fire them. Security forces also took care of this. For this reason, SOG and CRPF of Jammu and Kashmir Police were deployed under Chakravyuh. The entire operation included two different units of CRPF with the Indian Army and Valley Quick Action Team.
LG Manoj Sinha’s statement
On Operation Mahadev, LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir said, “It is true that three Pakistani terrorists have been killed. The police administration will give full information about it. I congratulate the army, police and all those involved in this operation.” He further said that such operations have been running together for several months and the administration is constantly making efforts to completely eliminate terrorism from Kashmir.
