How long will Chaturmas 2025 last: Chaturmas started in the year 2025 with Devshayani Ekadashi on Sunday, July 6. This period will end with Devauthani Ekadashi on 1 November 2025, Saturday. Thus, the total duration of Chaturmas will be around four months.

In short, know the 4 -month special sacrifice of Chaturmas:

• Shravan month: Green leafy vegetables.

• Bhadrapada month: Curd.

• Ashwin Mass: Milk.

• Kartik Mass: Onion, Garlic, Urad Dal.

1. Green leafy vegetables: Green leafy vegetables in Shravan month- such as spinach, greens, fenugreek should be avoided. It is believed that germs and micro -organisms increase in rain.

2. Things made of yogurt and yogurt: Consumption of curd is considered taboo in Bhadrapada month.

3. Milk and milk substances: It is advisable to sacrifice milk in Ashwin month.

4. Onion and Garlic: Tamasic foods like onion and garlic should be avoided throughout Chaturmas.

5. Urad Dal: Urad dal should not be consumed in Kartik month.

6. Eggplant: Brinjal should not be eaten during the entire Chaturmas, as it increases the number of insects and it is aagonating.

7. Radish: Radish intake is also prohibited.

8. Jackfruit: Jackfruit should not be eaten in these four months.

9. Oil things: Consumption of fried things in oil, especially more oil, can be heavy for digestion during this period.

10. Besan things made: Things made from gram flour (such as pakoras) can also be harmful to health during this period.

11. Things made of fine flour: Flour is also heavy to digest, so it should not be consumed.

12. Sugar (some people): Some people renounce sugar throughout the Chaturmas, or eat less sweet.

13. Spicy food: More spicy and spicy food can spoil digestion during this time, so only plain and light food should be eaten.

14. Sweets, Mole, honey: It is also advisable to limit the intake of excessive sweet, jaggery and honey.

15. Non -vegetarian, egg and alcohol: Consuming carnivores, eggs and alcohol is completely prohibited throughout the Chaturmas.
