How used to get a ticket as soon as IRCTC booking window opened, now this big fraud
Railway Booking of Tatkal tickets or booking after two months, very difficult to get confirmed tickets. After all, why was it happening that the common man was not getting tickets and all tickets were also booked. Now this big fraud has been detected. Acting on fake ticket booking, the IRCTC has busted a similar racket which used to scam PNR with fake IDs in a few minutes. In the last 5 months, 2.9 lakh PNR has been detected, this is the ticket that has been booked 5 minutes before the general and immediate window opens.
After this, the Railways has closed the ID of 2.5 crore fake users. Let us tell you that fraud was being done through these IDs. PNRs were booked through these fake audio, then agents used to sell them to passengers at expensive prices. Now the Railways has tightened shiks on this cyber fraud under the Anti BOT application.
Action initiated from January
According to the information, the Railways neutralized 2.5 crore suspected user IDs for ticket booking between January and May and has kept 20 lakh user IDs for rehabilitation under a special campaign. At the same time, a total of 134 complaints have been filed on the National Cyber Crime Portal and more than 6,800 disposable email domains have been blocked. This campaign will be further intensified. Disposable email addressing refers to an approach that involves using a unique email address for each contact or unit or using it for a limited number of use. Fraudsters are resorting to these tactics to book tickets and recover more money from unaware passengers.
