Common people The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is starting an annual fastg pass for private vehicles to make the journey easier and more economical. It will be valid for one year or 200 trip (whichever is first). That is, giving money on different tolls throughout the year or getting fastag recharging will get freedom. This new scheme will be applicable from August 15, 2025. Now the question arises that if your car is already imposed fastag, then how will you be able to activate this annual pass? Let’s know.
What is the annual fastag pass?
The annual fastag, the specified National Highway (NH) and the National Expressway (NE) fee allows private car/jeep/van for one year or 200 trips (whichever before) at the plaza, permission to travel free without user fee. The annual pass will be available from 15 August 2025. You can buy the annual fastag annual pass through the travel mobile app and NHAI website, which will be made available from August 15.
How will the annual fastag pass be active?
The annual fastag pass will be active after confirming the eligibility of the vehicle and its associated fastag. After successful verification, the user will have to pay Rs 3,000 for the base year 2025-26 through the highway travel mobile application or NHAI website. After the payment is confirmed, the annual pass on the registered fastg will be active. The annual pass will be valid from the date of activation to one year or 200 transactions (trips). Once Fastag completes 200 trips or one year from the date of annual pass activation, it will automatically turn into a regular fastag. To continue using the annual pass benefits, the user must re -activate the annual pass to obtain a validity of 200 trips / 1 year.
